Pioneers and the world's leading authority on hybrid manufacturing
Dr. Jason Jones (center left) is the pioneer and world’s leading authority on hybrid manufacturing – integrating Additive Manufacturing (AM) with mainstream CNC machines. He is the co-founder and CEO of Hybrid Manufacturing Technologies. Jason has a PhD in 3D printing from the University of Warwick and has led millions of dollars of AM research. Is the author of numerous publications and inventor of dozens of patents.
Dr. Jones was a founding member of the ASTM F42 standards committee and has steered the development of multiple ASTM & ISO standards. He has also served as the chair of SME’s (FKA the Society of Manufacturing Engineers) AM community – the largest professional 3D printing community worldwide.
Peter Coates (center right) Peter Coates has worked in the machine tool sector for over 40 years, working with companies based in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia. With extensive experience in mechanical electrical, electronic and PLC systems, Peter has master-minded the integration of a wide variety of electromechanical innovations into production environments including machine tools, robots and other automation platforms.
In 2001, following two years of successfully developing an automated high-speed machining production process for a well-known multinational company, Peter set up Precision Engineering Technologies which provided service repair and support for machine tool end-users, including CNC control upgrades and specialty machine development. Peter’s involvement in collaborative research and development projects led to his co-founding Hybrid Manufacturing Technologies in 2012 and serves as CTO where he is rigorously implementing the next generation of digitally-driven multi-tasking technologies.
